A Blessing From 11/11/11

While I was at the Rose Bowl, worshiping God with the thousands of other Christians, God suddenly said to me, “Be careful that you give no opinion as to what happens on this day, because I will show you that there is much going on that you will not see until later.” I knew that God had chosen 11/11/11 as a date to significantly impact the body of Christ. I was personally seeing its effects ricocheting through the church I pastor, the business I own, and the relationships that God has been developing in my life. Continue reading

Beware Of The Sidetracks

When an enemy is in a conflict involving multiple engagements in battle, he realizes that one of the most debilitating weapons that can be used against an opponent is the weapon of distracting from a vital objective at a critical moment. Each one of us have personal emotional buttons, that if pushed at just the right moment, can totally destabilize our ability to act righteously, and bring us into a state of defeat just moments from our victory. Continue reading

Today I Have Crossed A Line In The Sand

The men who were gathered together in the dusty old mission had not taken a bath in over a month. Suddenly their rag-tag leader grabbed a stick and drew a line across the sand beneath them. Then he looked up through the sweat that was dripping from his furrowed eyebrows and spoke sternly with his gravelly voice, “This is it, make your choice. If you step across this line you’re going to die here in the Alamo. If you want to save your life then leave, and fight another day. But today is a day for a few of us to lay down our lives and leave behind a legacy that will inspire generations.” Continue reading

A Critical Spirit Has A Way Of Boomeranging

As God continues to clean up our lives, He seems to be using smaller and smaller brushes to get into the cracks of our hearts that have previously seemed unreachable. The Bible tells us that God even tries the thoughts and the intents of our hearts. But this fine-tuning can feel incredibly heart-rending. At least it has been that way for me, because I seem to be repeatedly making the same mistakes. It isn’t that I don’t want to learn the lessons. It’s just that there are parts of me so engrained in my flesh that when God starts to remove them, my invisible habitual self commits the sins of presumption. Even king David asked the Lord to stop him from presumptuous sins. Continue reading

Years ago I started climbing the mountain of God, desiring to achieve the pinnacle of success in the high calling of Jesus. Since then I’ve been amazed to discover that what I thought was the top of the mountain was only a small pinnacle on the way to the top. Back when I was obsessed with finding the way to success, and reach a high calling in my denomination, I was shocked to discover that religious men I’d admired from my youth up didn’t seem to be concerned about obedience to God’s word, as much as they were about accumulating political power and acceptance from their constituencies. I finally came to the conclusion that, to reach my high calling in God, I would have to step outside the parameters of my denomination. Continue reading

Setting Perimeters and Securing The Land

Owning land is an important defensive, and offensive, aspect in a Christian’s life of spiritual warfare. We find this all throughout the Bible, but it’s especially important today when it comes to the factor of taking the “strong man’s” house. Jesus taught that one cannot take a strong man’s house until he binds the strong man first. Then he can spoil his goods. This is why land ownership is so important. An example of this is when God spoke to Abraham and told him to walk the land, and every place that the soles of his feet trode would be his. This prophetic act of walking on the land is only the beginning that will lead to ownership, possession ~ and ultimately ~ rulership. Continue reading

The Lord Says That He is Removing the Collaborators

By: Richard Gazowsky

Recently the Lord gave me a very strong word concerning the Rose Bowl. After sharing it with some prophets and David Andrade, we all felt that it was God’s will to share the word with you. Please prayerfully read this word for I believe it is a prophetic warning. There is also a word from Susan O’Mara that I received at 6:00 a.m. the same morning, that further confirmed the word I received from the Lord. Continue reading

No Man’s Land Between The Flesh And The Spirit

By: Richard Gazowsky

Monday Morning Blog – Where Do God’s Big Ideas Come From? To Subscribe, Click Here!

I’ve often found myself standing in the middle of a no man’s land between two opposing sides. It’s the world that I’ve known most of my life: the one that I control with my flesh, where every decision is made by myself; the other one a world that I’m not very familiar with, the realm of walking in the Spirit of trying to be like Jesus ~ where He said, “I can do nothing except I see the Father doing it”. To be honest, over the last few years I have visited this concept of walking in the Spirit. But it was always when I was faced with some great decision to be made, or desperately needed help.
